Your customers are already on WhatsApp, don't send them away to slow contact forms or email threads. Syncli keeps the entire journey inside the chat, making it seamless for leads to qualify, decide, and pay in seconds.
Every slot booked, paid and remembered.
Missed appointments are common, and the strongest fix is simple: remind people and give them an easy way to confirm or reschedule. A deposit makes them more likely to arrive.

Attendance with reminders

What is a WhatsApp booking system?
A WhatsApp booking system lets clients make an appointment inside a WhatsApp chat instead of on a website or by phone. On the WhatsApp Business API, bookings use WhatsApp Flows: forms that open in the chat, which Meta lists as one of their main uses. The client picks what they need, pays if required and gets a confirmation, all without leaving WhatsApp.
Flows work in the WhatsApp mobile app on Android and iOS, which is where most clients book from.
Why deposits and reminders matter
A 2018 review of 105 healthcare studies found an average no-show rate of about 23%, with the highest rates in Africa. A Cochrane review found attendance rose from about 68% with no reminder to about 79% with text-message reminders. The lesson applies to any appointment business: remind people, and make it easy to confirm or reschedule.
A deposit adds commitment. A client who has already paid is more likely to arrive, and if they don't, the deposit covers part of the lost slot. Put your deposit and cancellation rules in the booking confirmation so nobody is surprised.
Reminders are utility messages. In South Africa Meta charges $0.0095 each from 1 October 2026, roughly 17c at R18 to the dollar. Read our guide to taking bookings and deposits on WhatsApp for the full breakdown.
